FRANKLIN PARK — Vandalism on a water tower in Franklin Park could cost village taxpayers at least $10,000. Thirty to 45 days ago someone carved his name — his first and last names — on the roof of the water tower at 9501 Belmont Avenue. The carving was discovered last week during yearly maintenance. Fencing topped with razor wire surrounds the water tower. To get the through the locked fence, one must show proper identification and sign in with the village utilities department.
