Franklin Park, Northlake Police Blotter, Sept. 19

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Franklin Park and Northlake police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Franklin Park

DRUGS

Brian A. Gamboa, 26, of 3548 Emerson, Franklin Park, was charged with possession of a controlled substance at 8:25 p.m. Sept. 13 on the 9700 block of Richard Avenue. He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, battery to a police officer, resisting a peace officer and obstructing a peace officer. According to police, Gamboa was stopped by police in a parking lot on the 9700 block of West Grand Ave. He then ran. Police said they found close to 60 grams of a substance tentatively identified as cocaine. His next court date is Oct. 3.

VANDALISM

A BB gun was fired twice through the bedroom window of a house on the 3600 block of Hawthorne Avenue at 5:13 p.m. Sept. 17.

A 2008 Lexus was “keyed” on the left doors and right quarter panel between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sept. 14 on the 3400 block of Rose Street.

Northlake

THEFT

An iPhone was reported stolen from a woman’s purse at 4:41 p.m. Sept 13 on the 200 block of South 45th.

A boy’s Mongoose bike was reported stolen at 5:04 p.m. Sept. 13 from Kahl Park, 255 Palmer.

BURGLARY

A house was reported burglarized between 4 and 9 p.m. Sept 10 on the first block of Roberta. The front door was forced open. A safe containing $500, documents and two gold watches was taken.

A Garmin GPS unit worth $330 and a Playstation portable gaming device worth $250 were stolen between midnight and 3:30 p.m. Sept. 11 from a 2007 Toyota Scion on the 400 block of LaPorte. The vehicle may have been unlocked.

A Magellan GPS unit was reported stolen from a 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix between 4 p.m. and midnight Sept. 11 on the 100 block of North Marilyn. The vehicle was unlocked.

VANDALISM

Stones were thrown through the rear windows of three vehicles the evening of Sept 10. At 10 p.m., a stone was thrown at a 2002 Buick Century and a 2008 Nissan Sentra parking in a driveway on the 300 block of East Palmer. At 10:45 p.m., a stone was thrown through the rear window of a 1998 Cadillac Sedan on the first block of East Victoria.

THEFT

A 1992 Bass Tracker — a 17-foot boat — and trailer, all worth $15,000, were stolen between 9 p.m. Sept. 11 and 8 a.m. the next day from the parking lot of Creekside Village, 2810 Rhodes Ave.

Leyden Township

SOLICITATION

The Cook County Sheriff reported five instances of soliciting a prostitute on Sept. 12 on the 2300 block of North Mannheim Road.

PROSTITUTION

Prostitution was reported on Sept. 12 near the intersection of West Medill and North Mannheim Road.

BATTERY

Aggravated battery was reported on Sept. 12 on the 10600 block of Altgeld Street.

BURGLARY

A burglary was reported on Sept. 11 on the 9600 block of West Fullerton Avenue.
