NORTHLAKE — The Leyden high schools celebrated homecoming week with a pep rally Thursday, crowning this year’s homecoming court.

West Leyden’s king and queen were Brian Bejarano and Marissa Gollogly, while East Leyden’s were Kailyn Wnek and Tomasz Karwas.

Also Thursday, the annual faculty football game between East and West Leyden high schools was held. The game raised money for the Hornets Youth Sled Hockey team.

As of Tuesday, the schools had raised $4,100 for the team, with more money coming in, District 212 Assistant Athletic Director Tim Murphy said.
