Northlake fire open house Oct. 6

NORTHLAKE — The Northlake Fire Protection District will hold an open house from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at its fire station, 118 E. Parkview.
There will be a rubber duck race in Addison Creek behind the station, mini golf and coloring books and pamphlets for children.
Firefighters will answer questions and show off new fire engines. They will also give away smoke detectors to residents.
Hot dogs, popcorn and hot chocolate will be served.
