Chef brings cooking program to Northlake

Chef Michael Niksic will present his Mardis Gras Festival Cooking Program on Feb. 2 in Northlake.

Chef Michael Niksic will present his Mardis Gras Festival Cooking Program on Thursday at Concord Place Retirement and Assisted Living Community in Northlake.
Niksic, also known as “The Food Mercenary,” has appeared on network and cable television more than 500 times.
He will share his stories, recipes, food-preparation methods and sense of humor with participants. Niksic is writing two cookbooks, and finishing a second DVD. Autographed copies of his first DVD, “Serious Chili” will also be available.

The program will serve up a taste of Cajun rice, black beans, gumbo and an Artisan apple & smoked cheddar corn muffin.
Thursday’s program will start at 6:30 p.m.
