Police: No charges filed against Northlake resident who accidentally fired gun

No charges have been filed in the discharge of a weapon in Northlake.

A resident of the first block of King Arthur apartments came home about 5 p.m. March 7 to find a bullet hole through her front window.

On March 28, police found another bullet hole in a window in the apartment directly below.

Police figured the bullet had split in half after being fired. They found a resident across the street had fired the gun.

“Nothing led us to believe it was anything other than accidental,” Cmdr. Jay Miletello said.
