Crime briefs for Franklin Park and Northlake for Dec. 6, 2012

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Franklin Park and Northlake police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

FRANKLIN PARK

THEFT

The recently opened Big Lots, 10205 Grand Ave., had an instance of shoplifting at 8:05 p.m. Nov. 26. Two women passed the register with a cart that contained a comforter, Christmas lights and other seasonal items. The women got into a silver Chrysler van and drove north.

NORTHLAKE

BURGLARY

A house on the first block of Whitehall was reported burglarized at 8:54 p.m. Nov. 27. An air compressor, laptop computer and miscellaneous electronics worth a total of $1,210 were stolen. There was no sign of forced entry.
