FRANKLIN PARK — The Cook County Sheriff will recognize Jazmin Bravo of Franklin Park for volunteering this summer at the Franklin Park Library.
Bravo, 17, volunteered 110 hours between May 30 and Aug. 11. She organized books and magazines, advised the youth librarian, assisted with events, decorated the library meeting room, took photos of attendees and facilitated a Skype discussion between an author and teenagers.
She also wrote book reviews on the library’s blog for teens and created lists of books for display.
The Cook County Sheriff will recognize Bravo with the Youth Service Medal of Honor during a ceremony at University of Illinois, Chicago on Nov. 27.
